Thanksgiving Sunday.....Part 2...........

(Part 2- In Ipoh).....

In Ipoh, its we still uphold the culture that was brought from India by our forefathers. As usual the service was at 1pm and the church service finished at about 2.45pm and the auction begined at about 3pm. The first item which was being auctioned was a a adult size lamb. See the picture below.....

My father holding the lamb

Guess how much the first auction of the lamb was??

The person who bought the lamb bringing it back.....
It was RM 1550. Wow isn't that a big amount for a lamb... This shows how much they are grateful to God.
Beautiful orchid flowers and other pottery brought to be auctioned....
The goodies and foodstuffs brought to be auctioned....

And it keep going on and on.... The next were a few chickens being auctioned.....
The chickens.....

My father too took one of the auction which was RM 250. We got a beautiful lamp and a few goodies...

The crowd was really excited as they keep on bidding as much as they could. Its the enjoyment that you cannot see anywhere except in Tamil Settlement......

The crowd bidding.....

Then it came to an end where it was the last item to be auctioned. It was a fruit basket and a few goodies too. Usually the last auction will be the best of all. People will try to bid to the maximum although the things that was to be auctioned does not worth that much. The final auction was Rm 1000. And the auction for 2008 was over by then.
The people bidding for the last item to be auctioned.....
Enjoyment on every ones face during the last auction......

Everyone went back home with full of satisfaction....

Through this I learned that God has blessed my church very much and He is great. May His everlasting mercy and grace be on my church..........
Until the day He comes........
